Jacob and Levi are often referred to regarding Genesis (not band members of Phil Collins’, but Genisis from the Bible). However, two other blokes with the exact first names made the crotch tight and horse-back-riding sexy. These fellas, also known as Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss, are of course the master-minds behind the ever-loved blue denim jeans. So when other designers like Calvin and Gianni took it to the stage, it wasn’t only for cowboys and rebels – denim became eye-candy-wearable. As the one-eyed crook Dr. Hook so elegant phrased it ”baby makes her blue jeans talk”.
